To insure the best results and maximum invisibility, we suggest you have a professional SpeedFilm installer apply your paint protection film.

When applying SpeedFilm:

  • The painted surface of the car is thoroughly cleaned to ensure a good adhesive bond by the SpeedFilm.
  • The vehicle is kept under cover or out of direct sunlight during the application.
  • Areas that will be protected are waxed with a proprietory polymer sealant.
  • The film's paper backing is removed to expose the adhesive.
  • Then, thefilm is sprayed with a special solvent composed of 25% alcohol and 75% water.
  • The film is moistened, positioned in place, and squeegeed to the surface of the vehicle.
  • Excess moisture takes a at least 3 days in the sun to dry and cure properly.
  • It may take up to 45 days for the film to completely cure.
